前回成田に着いたBenですが、いったいどこに向かったのでしょう?
Ben arrived at Shinjuku station feeling even more tired than before, but also even more excited!
The station was extremely busy, and he ended up walking around in circles for over 30 minutes.
He was feeling fatigued and peckish, so he stopped at a café inside the station to buy a bacon
and tomato sandwich.
The sandwich was delicious and he felt refreshed after eating it.
With newfound energy, Ben finally made his way out of the station and up to the streets above.
ようやく、新宿駅にBenは着いたようですが。。。
む~む、やっぱり外国から来た人には新宿駅は迷いやすいんですね。
さぁ、今回Benが使っていた単語は、どうやって発音すればいいのでしょうか?
3)
baconという単語は、
bayと発音し、次に
secondと、発音してください。
口にbay, conの感じが残っているうちに、bay-conと発音すると
ハイ、baconの出来上がりです。
では、次にbaconの意味と例文の解説をどうぞ。
Meaning
As you’re probably already aware, bacon is thinly sliced pork, which is usually
cooked by frying.
Notes
Bacon may seem like a simple word to pronounce; however, some people make
the mistake of pronouncing the “ba” of “bacon” in the same way they’d
pronounce “banana”. The “ba” of “banana”, is pronounced in the same way as
in “bad” (the following 2 “na” sounds are pronounced in the same way as in “natural”).
Bacon is often eaten in a sandwich along with lettuce and tomato. This sandwich is
known as a “B.L.T”; Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato. A slice of bacon is often called
a “rasher of bacon”.
“Bring home the bacon” is a phrase which means to “earn a living” or to provide
(money, food etc) for yourself and/or others;
e.g. “I’m the only one who has a job; I bring home the bacon!”.
Examples
“Usually people use bacon when they make carbonara”
