Ben arrived at Narita airport at 3.30 a.m. and was very tired!
He waited at the baggage carousel for his suitcase,
but was so tired he was finding it difficult to recognise which case was his;
luckily he had put a large label on the outside.
Ben took his case and headed for the train station.
He knew he still had a long journey before he could finally relax in the comfort of his hotel room.
But despite feeling tired, he was also very excited to have arrived in Japan.
He was looking forward to an exciting adventure!
Meaning
A station is a place where trains, busses, taxis etc stop in order to pick up or drop off people of items.
Notes
Station can also be used to describe some types of places; for example a police station, a post station, a fire station etc.
Examples
“I’ll meet you at Shinjuku station at 7 p.m.”
“You should take the wallet you found to the police station”
