Ben arrived at Narita airport at 3.30 a.m. and was very tired!
He waited at the baggage carousel for his suitcase,
but was so tired he was finding it difficult to recognize which case was his;
luckily he had put a large label on the outside.
Ben took his case and headed for the train station.
He knew he still had a long journey before he could finally relax
in the comfort of his hotel room.
But despite feeling tired, he was also very excited to have arrived in Japan.
He was looking forward to an exciting adventure!
さぁ、Benは日本でどんな体験をするのでしょうか？ 今後が愉しみですが、そのまえに、
7ACT Success Course ManagerのRichが編み出した英語音習得法をお伝えしなければなりません。
たとえば、sheの音。これは「シィ」でも「シー」でもありません。
じゃあ、どうやって文字でそれを解説するんだ？ と思われるかもしれませんが、
Richの方法の斬新なところは、
比較的、日本人が正しく発音できている単語の一部を組み合わせたり、
日本語の中にある英語と同じ音を組み合わせたりして、
あっという間に再現、できるようにしてしまったところです。
さきほどのsheという単語は、実は渋谷の「し」と同じ音なのです。
なので、日本語で「sheぶや」と発音して、「ぶや」をとってしまえば、
ハイ出来上がり。簡単でしょ？
また、theirという単語は、実はthe airと同じ音なのです。なので、まず、theと発音し、次にすぐ、airと発音します。そうするとあら不思議、”their”と発音できちゃいました。
さぁ、今回Benが使っていた単語は、どうやって発音すればいいのでしょうか？
1)
tiredという単語は、
necktieと発音し、次に
playerと、次に
redと発音してください。
口にtie, er, dの感じが残っているうちに、tie-er-dと発音すると
ハイ、tiredの出来上がりです。

Meaning
Someone who is tired has low energy.
Tired can be used to explain a physical state or a mental state.
Notes
Tired Vs. Sleepy – In Western countries, tired and sleepy are
often used interchangeably.
Its OK to say “I’m tired” when what you really mean is “I’m sleepy”,
but saying “I’m sleepy” should only be done when you actually want to sleep.
“Tired of” – To be tired of something means to be bored of something.
Examples
“I worked hard today. Now I feel really tired”
“This book is boring! I’m tired of it” = “I’m bored of (reading) it”
